I was so fortunate to photograph this little guy this past weekend. He was just under 2 weeks old, which is THE PERFECT time to photograph newborns. I actually prefer to photograph newborns just as soon as new parents want to have me come for a visit – and here are the reasons why:
- Newborns like to sleep. The sooner I get to them, the more likely they are to sleep while I photograph them. Why do I prefer them to sleep? Newborns can’t control their movements and many times while photographing an awake newborn, I will end up with pictures of arms flailing about and get very strange looks at the camera. While they are sleeping I can pose and position them perfectly.
- Your baby will change so much during just the first few weeks of life. Capture your new baby at the peak of freshness. The newborn days pass by in a hurry. Have them photographed as soon as you can. You won’t regret it!
