This was actually my second Celebrating Adoption session with this family. And – there will be another one in the foreseeable future! This family recently received word that another little one will be joining their family!

These little girls are very special. Their mom and I “met” many years ago on an online pregnancy forum back in 2003/2004. Many of us have become good friends, in spite of the many miles between most of us, and quite a few of us have gotten to meet others in our travels around the country. This mom and I met up a few times when our “2004 babies” were toddlers, and they recently relocated to NC from Georgia. She has added another little one to her mix since the birth of our 2004 babes. We had a great time at Murray’s Mill in the eastern part of Catawba County. The weather was absolutely perfect… a gorgeous fall afternoon filled with sunshine and lots of fall color!

I’m so happy these little ladies and their mama are closer by. I’m hoping for many more chances to visit with them – in person! :)

The portrait party this past Saturday was absolutely fantastic. The chilly weather certainly gave the impression that the holidays are right around the corner (under 50 days until Christmas – can you believe it?).

Here’s a preview from one of the morning sessions. This little guy was such a ham. We got some great expressions out of him.

Contest rules and eligibility for winner:

Contest winner will have attended the November 6, 2010 portrait party. No purchase is necessary.
The winner will be randomly selected from eligible entrants and will be announced the following Monday – November 8, 2010.
Free session must take place between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
Session will take place in Lincoln, Gaston, or Catawba counties. Any session outside these counties will incur a travel fee.
Free session will not be available for maternity or newborn sessions.
This contest is open to new and current clients of Catherine Keene Photography.
This prize has no monetary value.
