Yes – Hickory, NC photographer by way of family traveling from the great state of Missouri *just* for a session with me… Alright, I’m kidding. Work brought the husband east, and the family conveniently tagged along for a getaway. This is another mama from an online pregnancy forum we joined back in 2003/2004. We’ve kept in touch all these years (thank you Facebook!) and we finally managed to get her entire family in front of my camera. Her youngest was almost born in time for me to photograph her when we did our cross-country road trip back in 2008, but she waited just a tad too long and we had to be on our way, heading west from Missouri.

Amber, I’m so glad we made this happen. Even under less than ideal conditions (it was FREEZING and WINDY the day we had picked for the session), your family was such a joy to photograph. I know our paths will cross again in the future – I just hope it’s not before too long. :)

Ahhh, my first year plan families – I see them so much over the first year or so of their baby’s life… and this family, now that they added a second little boy to the mix, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing about every 6 months since their first son was born back in 2008. I love it when my clients feel like family. And this family is certainly one of them!

These little girls are very special. Their mom and I “met” many years ago on an online pregnancy forum back in 2003/2004. Many of us have become good friends, in spite of the many miles between most of us, and quite a few of us have gotten to meet others in our travels around the country. This mom and I met up a few times when our “2004 babies” were toddlers, and they recently relocated to NC from Georgia. She has added another little one to her mix since the birth of our 2004 babes. We had a great time at Murray’s Mill in the eastern part of Catawba County. The weather was absolutely perfect… a gorgeous fall afternoon filled with sunshine and lots of fall color!

I’m so happy these little ladies and their mama are closer by. I’m hoping for many more chances to visit with them – in person! :)

This family… this is my FIFTH year photographing them. Five years. Wow. I began my venture in the fall of 2006, and this family has been with me since the beginning. They are some of my biggest cheerleaders. Without families like these, Catherine Keene Photography would not be where it is today. Thank you, Hasty’s, for your support and dedication.

This is my 3rd year photographing this family. Mom and I got together for a maternity session when their youngest was still baking. I say it all the time, but I just love watching my clients’ families grow – and grow up!
